Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of SDA Match. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About SDA Match

SDA Match is a free platform that connects NDIS participants with Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding to compatible housemates and SDA home owners. We are not an SDA provider, support provider, real estate agent or financial advisor. We provide a matching and introduction service only.

2. Eligibility

To use SDA Match you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent, guardian or nominee
• Be an NDIS participant with SDA funding (for participant accounts), or a registered SDA property owner or manager (for home owner accounts)
• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your profile
• Be based in Australia

3. The service we provide

SDA Match provides a compatibility matching service. We:

• Host anonymous participant profiles and SDA property listings
• Calculate compatibility scores based on the information you provide
• Facilitate introductions between matched participants via their support providers
• Send notifications about new matches and platform updates

We do not guarantee that any match will result in a tenancy, or that any particular property or housemate will be available or suitable. All decisions about housing arrangements are made by you, your support provider and any other relevant parties.

4. Accuracy of information

You are responsible for ensuring the information in your profile is accurate, current and complete. Providing false or misleading information may result in your account being suspended or removed.

5. Anonymity and privacy

Participant profiles are displayed anonymously. You must not attempt to identify other users through information displayed on the platform, or share identifying information about other participants outside of a formal SC-mediated introduction.

6. Free service

Creating a participant profile and listing an SDA property is free and will remain free. We do not charge commissions on tenancy arrangements made through the platform.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use SDA Match to:

• Post false, misleading or fraudulent information
• Harass, intimidate or contact other users outside of the SC-mediated introduction process
• Attempt to access the accounts or data of other users
• Scrape, copy or reproduce platform content without permission
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose other than its intended use
• Violate any applicable Australian law or regulation

8. Intellectual property

All content, branding, code and design elements of SDA Match are owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce or use them without our written permission. You retain ownership of the information you submit to your profile.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, SDA Match is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss arising from a failed match, an unsuitable tenancy, or reliance on information provided by other users.

Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

10. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, provide false information, or if we consider your use of the platform to be harmful to other users. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users by email when material changes are made. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
