What is SDA Match?
SDA Match is a free platform that helps NDIS participants with SDA funding find compatible housemates and suitable SDA properties. We match participants based on SDA category, location, lifestyle and support needs — all introductions are made safely through your support provider.
Is it really free?
Yes — completely free for NDIS participants, forever. SDA Match exists to connect people, not to profit from them. There are no hidden fees, no subscription, and no commissions.
Who can see my profile?
Your profile is shown anonymously. Other users see only your SDA category, broad location, lifestyle preferences and support needs — not your name, email, or any identifying details. Your real identity is only shared when both you and your support provider agree to a connection.
Do I need an NDIS plan to register?
Yes. SDA Match is designed for NDIS participants who have SDA funding approved in their plan. If you're not sure whether you have SDA funding, check your plan or ask your support provider.
What is a support provider and do I need one?
A support provider (SC) is someone funded by the NDIS to help you implement your plan and find appropriate supports. SDA Match uses SCs as a privacy layer — all match introductions go through them. If you don't have an SC, you can still register, but you'll need one to progress a connection.
How does the matching work?
Our system scores compatibility between participants based on SDA design category, funded bedroom configuration, location preferences, lifestyle, and support needs. Matches are ranked by compatibility score. Your SC reviews your matches with you before any contact is made.
Can I pause my profile?
Yes. From your dashboard you can toggle your profile to inactive at any time. Inactive profiles are hidden from all matches until you reactivate them.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion by emailing privacy@sdamatch.com.au. We will permanently remove your data within 30 days.
For SDA home owners
How do I list my SDA property?
Register as a home owner on the home owner page. Once your listing is reviewed and approved by our team (usually within 2 business days), it will be visible to compatible participants and support providers.
Is it free to list?
Yes. Listing your SDA home is free. There are no commissions on tenancies arranged through the platform and no ongoing fees.
What happens after I list my property?
Our team reviews your listing to confirm it meets SDA requirements. Once approved, compatible participants will be shown your property. Support providers can reach out on behalf of interested participants. You can also browse compatible participants from your dashboard.
Can I list more than one property?
Yes. Once your account is approved, you can add additional SDA properties from your dashboard under "Your other SDA homes".
Why is my listing showing as "pending"?
All new listings are reviewed by our team before going live. This usually takes 1–2 business days. You'll receive an email once your listing is approved or if we need more information.
Privacy & data
Is my information secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored on Australian servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We do not sell or share your information with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does SDA Match share my information with the NDIA?
No. SDA Match does not share your information with the NDIA, your LAC, or any government body, except where required by law.
What data does SDA Match collect?
We collect only what is necessary for matching: your SDA category, location preferences, lifestyle preferences, support needs and contact email. We do not collect your NDIS plan number, medical records or financial details. See our Data Handling page for a full breakdown.
