Accessibility
SDA Match is a platform built specifically to serve people with disability. Accessibility is not an afterthought — it is central to what we do. We are committed to ensuring our platform is usable by everyone, regardless of disability, assistive technology or browsing context.
1. Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as referenced by the Australian Government's Digital Service Standard. We review our platform regularly against these guidelines and act on identified issues.
2. Accessible features
SDA Match is designed with the following accessibility considerations:
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (forms, buttons, links) are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone
- Screen reader support — semantic HTML is used throughout; forms include labels and ARIA attributes where appropriate
- Colour contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios
- Resizable text — the layout adapts when browser text size is increased up to 200%
- Responsive design — the platform is fully usable on mobile devices, tablets and assistive display configurations
- No auto-playing media — we do not use auto-playing audio or video
- Plain language — we write in plain English to make the platform usable by people with cognitive disability or limited English literacy
- Reduced motion — we aim to respect the
prefers-reduced-motionuser preference to minimise animated content
3. Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas that are still being improved:
- Some complex data tables (e.g. match listings) may not have fully optimised screen reader navigation — we are working on this
- Floating animated elements in the hero section may be distracting for some users — reduced motion support is being added
- Focus styles in some browsers may be less visible than intended — we are reviewing and improving these
We are actively working to resolve these issues. If you encounter an accessibility barrier not listed here, please let us know.
4. Assistive technology
SDA Match has been tested with the following assistive technologies:
- VoiceOver on macOS and iOS (Safari)
- NVDA on Windows (Chrome and Firefox)
- TalkBack on Android (Chrome)
- Keyboard-only navigation (no mouse)
5. Support

6. Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of SDA Match. If you find any aspect of the platform difficult to use, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at the address above. Your feedback directly informs how we improve the platform.
7. Third-party content
SDA Match does not embed significant third-party content. Where third-party widgets or embeds are used, we select providers with accessibility commitments. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of externally hosted content.
8. Our broader commitment to inclusion
As a platform designed for the NDIS community, we recognise that many of our users live with disability — including physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disabilities. This awareness shapes every design decision we make. We believe that an accessible platform is a better platform for everyone.
